The Sad Case of Writer's Block

Hello, hello, PK speaking!

A news update on the PK-Channel : Broadcasts will no longer be held by station staff members. PK will bring you the news of her world directly! This recent change in the station was because I was finding it hard to deliver the information to the staff members correctly. Now, they will all do behind the scenes work. However, staring from today, I, PK, will be feeding you my life directly.

END OF SPECIAL NEWS REPORT.

Now that I've got that cleared...
Usually when people get writers block, they suffer from an inability think about what to write. And for me, that's exactly what's happening.

I, PK, am actually writing a story, which I hope to publish sometime before I go to college. I really want to, and I may still be in the beginning stages of my writing but I know if I work hard enough, I can finish a chapter everyday, and perhaps even finish before I'm sixteen. If only I could move that silly Writer's Block, out of my brain, maybe my thoughts would flow right through!

Also, I'm wondering if I can really do this. If I can really live up to what I want. If when I publish the book, people will actually read it. Haha, I've actually been thinking lately, about how it would be to be famous. But I've gotta work hard.

It's writer's block, but it's a different kind...

It's like a life block!

And that's it for today's show. Look forward to the next segment which will be about the PK STYLE! Just the info about what I really think of the styles today, with pictures of stuff I like.

Harry Potter Broadcast

Late, but nonetheless here for the record- the Harry Potter Broadcast is finally here!

First, I, PK, will talk about the book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I believe, made a great ending for this amazing series that JK Rowling created. As the series progressed, I, being an intense fan of the books myself, had begun to lose hope in a satisfying ending. I was missing the old trio, the sense of adventure in them that had always appealed to me with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

I was getting more of what I never expected: the growing up, the angst, the romance- the things I now know are essential! And I have to say, I'm pretty happy about the way it ended. This book...I really loved. Out of the seven, it has become one of my favorites.

There were a few unique things I noticed as I read on. First, I felt that the old trio I knew was back again- Harry, Ron, and Hermione, were having another adventure! They weren't the angsty teenagers anymore, and this feeling made me keep reading. I felt so happy, because this story was giving me the same mysterious sensation that I felt while reading the first books. I don't know if it was just me, but the overall feel of this book was like a breath of fresh air from the dark loomy corners the penultimate books made me think of. Undoubtedly, this was a sad book, however; no one can ever deny that.

Another thing I found strange was the way JK Rowling actually wrote the story. I never thought the book would bee like that. I didn't think I was reading JK Rowling's writing for a few minutes, I felt like it was a fanfiction. I wondered if any of the story was influenced by exactly that...But that's JKR's own secret! And, hehe, I wouldn't love her writing any less even if that's what she did...

The saddest part for me in this book was...Well, duh, the death of dear Fred Weasley. Actually, I cried...And I could cry more if I keep thinking about it. SO I'd like to have a moment of silence for Fred, and everyone else that died. Dobby's death was another that I was depressed about-he was so awesome. Then...When she killed...POOR HEDWIG! Why, why, why...It was such a random act of depressing confusion that I reread the sentence about five times before I could close my jaw. And for a few moments there, I think everyone though our Hagrid was going to die, too...

Ah, and how the heck to we fans know that inevitably, Harry(and we) would find out that Severus Snape loved Lily? Intuition. It had to happen. Snape's character was the best. Extremely complex, but JKR illustrated him beautifully! Seriously, I'm sad he died...yet I feel he had to. What would he have done otherwise, if he had lived? I can't think of it.

Neville was AMAZING in this book, and we really got to see him evolve from the wimpy boy we once knew to the superhero that was always living in him. He's DEFINITELY the guy that uses more magic later on in life. I'm sad he didn't get to kill Bellatrix, though, he had every right! But so did Molly Weasley- she definitely showed her battle skills in this book for sure, but we know she is an amazing witch considering her way of magicking things around the house to work for her.

I loved the idea of the Deathly Hallows. Sounds like a really lame-ish title, but you know what? It makes for a BRILLIANT idea! That's one way to end the series in 784 pages! Speaking of that...I never though it was possible. To end a huge series like Harry Potter, and in such a beautiful way. I thought she had way too many questions to answer but I feel she handles it superbly. It takes real skill! Although only through interviews and such can you find out the answer to questions like, "What ever happened to Luna Lovegood?" JKR did better than I expected her to do, and well, she actually finished the series.

How sad. It's over, my good people. Yet it stays in a true fan's heart forever.

And amongst fans, the movie for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix probably has the most controversy! Many say it was horrible and other say it was the best movie ever. I am a master of being neutral, so as my review, I will state the reasons for why I think it was good movie and why I thought it was bad.

Well, it's always easier to start off with the bad...
First of all, does it make any sort of sense that longest book was made in to the longest book? Material wise, this movie was skimpier than Paris Hilton's clothing! Really, I believe you had to have some sort of idea about the book in order to get the movie. Even though it's one of the only reasons, it's a very important factor to movie watching, especially if that movie was once a book!

Next, let's move to the GOOD! Artistically, it was a fantastic movie. Really great, the special effects were all played up beautifully. Acting is an art, and Dan, Emma, and Rupert are DEFINITELY doing a great job being the trio. Although, I love Emma to death, she really is a great role model...someone with the same face as her could probably portray Hermione a tiny bit better...Even though, she's, like, Hermione personified, I don't think she looks booky enough for me any more. She looks almost TOO pretty! Rupert is amazing, he's doing such a wonderful job acting. He really doesn't talk much in interviews and stuff, but I absolutely love him. Dan need to keep his hair like the way it was in PoA; GoF was too long and in OotP, it was too short!
Speaking of acting, please let's don't forget Imelda Staunton, doing a fabulous job at being Professor Umbridge. Oh dear, if I had knives, I would have thrown them at the screen! She sparked immense hatred, the same I felt as I was reading, and THAT means she did a wonderful job acting.

Something I wish they had done better was the scene where Fred and George leave. It's my favorite scene in the ENTIRE book, because it's so...I dunno how to put it. Cool. Bad. I can't find words.

And of course...I really didn't like Sirius's death. They did well, with the whole silence thing, but that wasn't how Sirius Black died! The man wasn't taken unawares! He and Bellatrix were fighting, weren't they, when she casts the curse on him? If they had done it better, I probably would have liked the movie more. Yes, indeed.

It was entertaining, to say the least.

let it shine!

New layout, and a new song for the PK Channel this week! We hope it increases your intrest in the show. Please notify us of any imporvements we wish to make; this is the one place where appearance matters.

PK disappeared to the lovely land of India for two weeks, and thus we were unable to broadcast at the time. We had promised a review of the recently released Harry Potter movie and book, however, PK was uneasy because of the number of people that hate spoilers, so we had to cancel the broadcast. We are sorry for the in convenience. However that speical show will take place on both August 20th and 21st, and will be reviewed by PK directly! So you get to meet the genius behind the works, people! Don't miss out.

As we just said, PK took a great trip to India, and has a lot of pictures! However, she hasn't yet uploaded them. Besides the pictures she had great fun travelling with her family, such as ABHISHEK, ANUJA, and SAMEER (who all coincidentally have Bloggers. Hehehe) She visited Mumbai and Hyderabad. The lifestyle there was so different, she felt so strange when she landed back in America. Never have had to immigrate, PK doesn't know at all what it feels like to move out of country. But she now figures that it must take oodles of emotional strength to move from your home land.

Nothing else has occurred in the life of PK. We would now like to inform you of recent happenings in the World/of PK.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 is soon premiering on August 17- that's this Friday if your in the US! The first installemnt was wonderful. Some people may say it was pointless, dumb, even stupid, but since when have we had a pure, clean, high school movie? Many more people look forward to the second movie...but will it be less that is expected of it?

PK'S WARDROBE HAS BEEN UPDATED! We will be adding a new segment to the show, featuring today's fashions and styles which PK thinks are wonderful!

And that's it for today's totally uneventful show.
